Society of BiologicalInorganic Chemistry Early Career Researcher CommitteeVisionThe Society of Biological Inorganic Chemistry (SBIC) Early Career Researchers (ECR) Committee operates under the auspices of the SBIC Council and is dedicated to advancing ECRs within the field of biological inorganic chemistry. The Committee’s mission is to provide a platform for SBIC early-career scientists to develop professionally, expand their networks, and contribute to the growth of the discipline. Through organizing initiatives, fostering collaboration, and advocating for the interests of ECRs, the Committee aims to support the next generation of researchers in advancing the frontiers of biological inorganic chemistry. For the purposes of the Committee, "Early Career Researchers" refers to individuals who are within ten years of receiving their highest degree (PhD, etc.), with consideration for career breaks such as parental leave, illness, or other factors.
